Growing up in Communist Romania, Dr. Mirela Mitan often lacked adequate food and power. Yet in spite of the challenges she faced, including sexism, she pursued her passion for chemistry and attained a PhD, then worked as a leading research scientist. Recently, she founded her own skincare line.
