Seattle's Proposed Tax On Jobs Does Next To Nothing For Housing

Even using the City’s low-cost production number, it would cost $5,715,200,000, more than the entire budget of the City of Seattle for 2018 of $5,600,000,000. The tax on jobs doesn't put a scratch in that number; to build that many units a tax of $2.00 per hour of work, or 8 times the proposed tax.
