The 107th anniversary today of the fire at the Triangle shirtwaist factory in NYC—in which almost 150 workers died—is being marked by site-specific performances of Ricky Ian Gordon’s opera, Morning Star, about an immigrant family on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, at a museum in that neighborhood.
