Review: Anton Bruckner's Zeroth Symphony, A Viennese Miracle

The opening of the Zeroth’ Allegro has a strong, yet oddly unsettling motoric, churning, trotting motif in the strings that rolls forward in captivating fashion – with just a slight limp. There’s an element of the motion to it, that Schubert that creates in his Erlkönig.
