As Peter Fiekowsky urges, we need a second 'moon shot.' Give our engineers a challenge -- lower CO2 levels to preindustrial times by 2050, and we can restore the climate to that time, saving the ecosystems around us that coevolved with us over the past many million years, and us in the process.
