Though it's a much smaller market, electric buses may account for nearly 7% of transit vehicle sales this year, and accelerate from 2018 with new BYD and Proterra factories. Though bus-making giant New Flyer expects steady growth that isn't dramatic, it's beefing up electric vehicle R&D.
