Apple’s iPhone gamble was the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus would maintain the momentum of previous iPhone launches as the iPhone X brought new technology to the smartphone space. Unfortunately as data piles up, it's becoming clear that the first part of that gamble has failed.
