FDA Expands Role To Prevent Puerto Rico-Sourced Drug Shortages After Hurricane Maria

Dozens of manufacturing facilities in Puerto Rico collectively make 16 of the top 20 conventional and biotech drugs sold in the U.S. Hurricane Maria's hit to the U.S. territory's infrastructure poses the potential for shortages of critical, 'life-saving and life-sustaining' medical products.
