In a sense, schools like Drew University are moving away from the Macy’s or Nordstrom’s model of fairly high prices with frequent sales promotion, towards the Amazon or Wal-Mart model of “everyday low prices.” It has worked well for Amazon and Wal-Mart, so perhaps it will for some universities.
