It was announced Thursday morning Dr. Brenda Fitzgerald, an OBGYN and current Commissioner of Georgia’s Department of Public Health (DPH), will be the new head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Fitzgerald has been in contention for weeks, but just confirmed.
