Samsung is significantly expanding production to meet demand. Second place Toshiba/WD may lag in 3D flash transition, due to the ongoing struggle over sale of Toshiba’s flash memory production unit. A slowed Toshiba/WD transition to 3D NAND could extend the flash shortage and higher prices.
